Meet Dannel, a 47 year old Mother and local resident. She was surprised when she discovered a lump prompting her to schedule a mammogram to have it checked out. Next was a follow up mammogram and an ultrasound which confirmed the worst, She had stage 1 breast cancer. Surgery was promptly scheduled and afterwards Dannel was told that the lump was larger than first presumed, however her lymph nodes were cancer free. Now Dannel was facing stage three A breast cancer. She endured another surgery and genetic testing. This time all of the borders were clean. Daunting Weeks passed before she would find out if she needed radiation or chemotherapy. Thankfully her oncologist determined that radiation would take care of it. Dannell now has seven weeks of daily radiation treatments to go through and will be on anti-hormone therapy for the next ten years. She has only recently returned to work and hopes to be able to continue working throughout the remainder of her treatments. She is the manager of the children's and home fashions area of Sears.
As you can guess this diagnosis has side-lined and overwhelmed her and her loved ones but she is a fighter and she has been actively kicking her cancer to the curb, where it belongs. Every day she fights! $20 Per person ( Includes tee shirt) Food and refreshments, raffles, prizes and More! * If you cannot attend the bootcamp, we will be holding silent auctions in the club as well as selling tee shirts and accepting donations the entire month of October for Dannel. 100% of the proceeds will go directly to help Dannels fight!
