Project Coordinator for business retention and attraction in Macomb County. My primary retention visits are with Food Processing, Agriculture, Automation, Robotics, Connected Vehicles, and Energy businesses. As a Project Coordinator I work on attraction projects to bring new businesses into Macomb County from Asia and Australia. Perform economic development work in promoting and facilitating the retention of businesses in the County. Work effectively with business clients, the general public, government officials, local, and state partners.
Work involves communication with businesses and other organizations regarding the business climate and economic attractiveness of the county and promoting the development and growth of businesses in the county. Assess their business needs using the Business Solutions Professional model. Monitor and document their progress utilizing the Salesforce data management system. Coordinate with all partners on the assistance a business is requesting. Explain the available programs to the customer and assist them through the process of applying. Manage and implement the delivery of comprehensive business assistance programs to the local business community. Engage in the economic development strategy of economic gardening to grow and sustain local businesses to create jobs. This will be accomplished by growing businesses from the ground up working closely with them.
